Introducing Stillwater Chiropractor Dr. Matthew Allen

For years I suffered with headaches. It was a constant, nagging pain everyday of my life for over 10 years.

Stillwater Chiropractor, Dr. Matt AllenI knew I wanted to be a doctor at a very young age. You see, I was in and out of the hospital 27 times before I was 10 years old. Not a fun way for a kid to spend their early days, but for me I learned a lot about what health really was and what it really wasn’t. It wasn't until I was in college that I realized Chiropractic was the best way for me to fulfill my goal to help others with their health challenges... Naturally!

I attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia. The coursework was very comprehensive with studies focusing on neuroanatomy, advanced biochemistry, clinical nutrition, physical rehabilitation, neurology and human physiology, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques.

You should know that I don’t heal anyone of anything. What I do is perform a specific cranial spinal adjustment to remove nerve interference, and the body responds by healing and regulating itself. It’s as simple as that!

As for my headaches...they have been gone for more than 10 years. However, I continue to get adjusted, because with a healthy diet, exercise and regular Chiropractic care, I have a wonderful Quality of Life and it continues getting better.  I hope to help you get healthy and stay healthy for the rest of your life and fulfill YOUR purpose in life!

Dr. Matt and his lovely wife, Kember have two children: Baden, who was born in February 2008 and Ryder, who was born in May 2010.

Dr. Matt Asks some important questions of interest to Stillwater residents - Chiropractor Stillwater Dr. Matt Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Where do most Stillwater residents get their first subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Stillwater newborn.
