Meet the Sunrise Health Institute Team
Sabra Smith, Office Manager
Hi, my name is Sabra Smith and I am the office manager at Sunrise Health Institute. I have been very happily married to my husband Tom for 20 years and we have two great children Mike and Megan who are students at Stillwater High School. I was a patient of Dr. Matt’s for several years before I began working here. Before I began care with Dr. Matt I was a patient of a traditional chiropractor and had sciatic nerve issues. However, once I started seeing Dr. Matt my health greatly improved I have not had any sciatic pain for several years. Receiving adjustments on a regular basis has helped not only with feeling better physically, but also my allergies have greatly improved, and I rarely get sick. Dr. Matt IS our general care physician. I love my job, the people I work with, and our patients! Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and shooting.
Nicole Shaieb, Chiropractic Assistant
My name is Nicole Shaieb. I was born and raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I’m 21 years old and have just begun my senior year in college at Oklahoma State University studying Biology. My goal after college is to attend chiropractic school. I most definitely thank my interest in chiropractic and preventative/wellness health care to Dr. Matt!
I started my care at Sunrise Health Institute due to persistent migraine headaches I’ve had all my life. I am so thankful to no longer be suffering from migraines anymore! Overall, I feel better and healthier than I have in my life. Shortly after staring up as a patient I started working for Dr. Matt as a chiropractic assistant. I love my joy and am grateful that everyone I work with is so wonderful. I’ve learned so much, and continue to enjoy all of my experiences here.
When not working or attending classes, I enjoy spending my time with family and friends, skiing and traveling.
Deidre Boles, Chiropractic Assistant
Hi, my name is Deidre Boles. I was raised in Perkins, Oklahoma, which is about 10 miles south of Stillwater. I graduated high school in 2009, and I am currently a student at OSU. I am a Chiropractic Assistant at Sunrise Health Institute. I have been working here since May 2009. I absolutely love my job and am so blessed to get to be working with such great people. I was a patient for about 9 months before I started working at Sunrise Health Institute. I started coming to the office because my senior year of high school because I had been having constant back pain for a few years and my shoulders were noticeably uneven. I also have suffered from severe allergy and asthma problems my whole life. Once I started coming to Dr. Matt my posture improved greatly, and I rarely have problems with allergies or asthma. Outside of work and school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching my favorite TV shows, and playing sports.
Peggy McAbee, Chiropractic Assistant
Hello, my name is Peggy McAbee and I’m a Chiropractor’s Assistant. I have been happily married to Rod McAbee for 32 years, and I have two wonderful sons, Kevin and Daniel. I have two grandchildren, Matthew and Cassandra. Stillwater has been my home for over 45 years. I have trained in the Martial Arts for 3 years and currently hold a brown belt in Chinese Kenpo, green belt in Aikido and purple belt in TKD. I am currently training at Elite Combat Systems in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kali Eskrima. Martial Arts training was what first brought me to Dr. Matt as a patient. I had severe neck and lower back pain. The adjustments that I have received have made it possible for me to continue training. Also, the regular adjustments have helped my digestion, and my sleep has definitely improved. I was a patient for about 4 months before I became an employee. I love life and believe in living it to its fullest. Sunrise Health Institute has enriched my quality of life and enabled me to continue doing the things I love.
Sarah Baker, Chiropractic Assistant
Hi, my name is Sarah Baker. I was born and raised in Stillwater OK. I am 20 years old and in pursuit of an associate’s degree from Ozark Christian College in Arts in Christian Ministry and emphasis on Intercultural Studies, as well as taking classes at OSU/NOC to become a Registered Nurse. My goal after college is to be work as a nurse and eventually move outside of the United States to do Medical mission work.
I have started working for Sunrise Health Institute at the end of December. I had never been to a chiropractor before and have loved to learn all about chiropractic practice! I never thought I needed chiropractic help until I found out that a lot of things I struggle with can be fixed by regular adjustments; for example, my headaches. I used to have headaches almost every day and it made it very hard to study and focus, now that I have been getting regular adjustments my headaches are gone! I barely ever get any headaches anymore all thanks to chiropractic care!
Outside of work and school I love to hang out with my family and friends. I am also engaged, so I love to do a lot of wedding planning. I also love going on mission trips and being involved with my church.
