NCi: Neuro Cranial Integration

Neuro Cranial Integration (NCi) is a specific technique that releases tension from the cranial bones, brain and nervous system from the inside out and from the top down. The release of tension from the nervous system also releases cranial, fascial and muscle tissue fixations, and returns proper cerebro-spinal fluid flow throughout the spine and entire body. When tension and pressure is taken off the brain, it can do its job more efficiently and allow the body to function at a higher level.

Why is Neuro Cranial Integration Different?

NCi has a focus on stress relief, stress recovery and improving your ability to handle stress. In NCi, we recognize that, the power that made the body also has the power to heal the body, once any internal interferences to our own healing ability are removed. Balance is the key and NCi is a gentle hands on process which helps us to balance the left and right sides of the brain which results in mental, emotional, physical and spiritual integration and balance. Our research has shown that from the moment the adjustment is given, the brain “resets” much like a computer rebooting, and weak muscles get strong, tense muscles relax and structural balance is regained. Your brain instantly shifts to a state where healing, thinking, metabolism, relaxation and sleep are all profoundly and positively affected.

How Long Does An Adjustment Take?

The Neuro Cranial Integration procedure lasts only two to three minutes and does not includes any typical chiropractic jerking, “popping” or “cracking.” Instead, it feels like a profound stretch inside the back of the head.

How does releasing tension on the brain affect the rest of my body?

NCi, by releasing tension on the brain, offers a proven, gentle, hands on way, to come out of and stay out of, an inappropriate stress state. When this happens positive brain-wave activity becomes more apparent, the right and left hemispheres of the brain synchronize; and there is better nerve and energy conductivity, which includes:

  • better body movement with more flexibility
  • improvement in muscle tone with less tension
  • improved immune function
  • better coordination with improved strength
  • better circulation of blood and spinal fluid
  • less pain and discomfort
  • greater well-being, happiness and inner peace

NCi increases your body’s ability to respond to, handle, and overcome daily negative stress, thereby speeding up healing and helping to avoid future illness. Since each person is individual, stress masks itself in different symptoms. The symptoms may look like headaches, sciatica, fatigue, aches and pains, lack of focus, depression, digestive problems, etc.

It is important to remember that I do not focus on your symptoms, but rather help your brain and body stay balanced, so that self healing, self regulation and your ability to handle stress can be optimized.

How does the brain affect my back pain?

The major portion of the nervous system is protected by the cranium (the 22 bones of the skull) and the vertebral bones. In addition, the brain and the spinal cord are covered in a tough material called the dura mater (translated from the Latin to mean, “tough mother”). It’s a membrane which acts as a durable sheath holding the brain hemispheres together and extending down the spine and body. It is attached at the base of the skull at the occiput; to the spine at the first two neck vertebra and to the sacrum, or tailbone.

When there is an uneven pull on the dura mater, it causes distortions (twisting) of the spine, or Subluxations. These subluxations interfere with normal nervous system flow, can cause pain, and decrease quality of life.

How does it feel?

Neuro Cranial Integration takes contractions out of the body, rebalances the cranial bones, brain hemispheres and vertebrae, and leaves the patient with a feeling of release.

The treatment lasts only two to three minutes. There is no jerking, thrusting or “popping”. Most people feel a stretching sensation or release, and an immediate sense of change. The procedure can be performed on infants to seniors. Note: many cranial problems occur at birth, so corrections early on can prevent years of suffering.

“I feel this loosening all the way down my back now and for two days afterward,”
said Rich Campbell, bass player for the band, America. “I sing the high notes and
the way to make that happen is to have the neck and the back relaxed.”
